When the Reh-Fit opened in 1979 it was Canada's leading fitness centre for the prevention of heart
disease. Now, just over 25 years later, following
a $12 million expansion and
renovation, we’re bigger and better than
ever at helping people lead healthier
lives.
We are living up to our vision of being
the best health and fitness Centre in
Canada, in building the health of the
community, for optimum quality of life.
But if we are to continue to meet that challenge, yet remain accessible to the community we serve, we cannot rely on membership dues and user fees alone. It will take philanthropic support if the Reh-Fit is to continue to help people lead healthier lives at a world-class level.
Making a Gift

Matching Gifts Program
The company you work for may have a matching gifts program. Please talk to your Human Resource Department to find out if your employer will match your gift to us either as a current employee or a retiree.
Donor Wall
The Donor Wall is on the second floor of the Centre, immediately across from the Heart Rock Café and members’ lounge. This stunning curved wall of glass, updated annually, is a unique symbol of thanks and an enduring tribute to the generosity of our major donors and to loved ones receiving a dedication. Donors names are added to the wall for gifts of $10,000 or more.
Other donations may be recognized in various Reh-Fit publications depending on the donor's wishes.
About the Designer
The Donor Wall was designed by Warren Carther, a Winnipeger, who is considered one of the world’s leading architectural glass artists.
He was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 2002 and has received Royal Canadian Academy of Arts designation for outstanding achievements in the visual arts.
His projects are unprecedented in colour, innovative technique, and scale. Notable glass walls he has designed include the carved glass wall for the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, the 100-foot glass wall in Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, and the 160-foot-long glass wall in the Yellowknife legislative assembly.
Mr. Carther, who works out of a studio in the Exchange district, also designed the donor wall at the Riverview Health Centre.

The Major Donor Wall is a focal point of the mezzanine level in the Centre.
