The Reh-Fit Centre is dedicated to building community wellness – by supporting and encouraging individuals, groups, and the larger community to enjoy and participate in regular, healthy, active living. You are among friends at the Reh-Fit where a community of individuals have discovered a sense of accomplishment and success in building a healthy lifestyle. At Reh-Fit, you’ll find a workout feels a lot less like work when surrounded by cutting-edge amenities and a successful, motivated community of peers.

What to wear

To exercise, it’s best to wear comfortable, layered clothing. As you burn calories while exercising your body temperature will increase and clothing that will allow some heat to escape is ideal.

Comfortable, well fitting, fully enclosed footwear is a must. Most types of sport shoes will be appropriate.

What to bring

A non-breakable water bottle will ensure you can remain hydrated during your workout. Only water is allowed in the fitness area.

If you plan on having a shower after your workout, you will need to bring your own soap and shampoo.

Annual towel service may be purchased. With this service, each time a member enters the building they receive one or two towels. Daily towel service is also available for a small fee or you may bring your own towel from home.

Arriving at the Centre

The Reception Desk staff will greet you as you enter the front doors of the building and are available to answer any questions.

You will need to swipe your membership card at the Reception Desk to allow access to the Centre. Swiping your card provides the Centre with crucial usage patterns to allow for adequate staffing, equipment purchases, and cleaning schedules.

Locker rooms

Full and half-length lockers are available for daily use at no charge. Your Reh-Fit Centre membership card will act as a key to the lockers. Remember to take your card with you when you are leaving at the end of your workout.

We also have half lockers available for a toonie.


We have one of the longest tracks in the city. Walking or jogging on the track might be an option for your first few visits until you feel more comfortable trying out one of our cardiovascular machines. The track changes directions every other day. Arrows on the side of the track indicate the direction. The blue lanes are for walking and the red lines are for jogging/running.

Cardiovascular Equipment

Most pieces of cardiovascular equipment have a quick start option to make it easier to get started. Simply get on your chosen piece of equipment, start the motion, then press the quick start button. From this point you can adjust resistance and speed as required.

Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis with a 30-minute time limit.

When you finish, use the disinfectant wipes provided and wipe off controls, seats, and railings.

Strength Training Equipment

Strength training equipment is located in both the functional fitness zone and in the weight area at the east end of the building. If you are unsure about strength training, consider siging up for Resistance Training Basics. Our staff will introduce you to the strength training equipment and show you how to use some of it. 

Group Fitness Classes

Adding group fitness classes into your weekly routines can give your workouts the variety they need to keep them fresh and exciting. For more information or to determine the classes that will help you achieve your goals, talk to any of our staff. New participants are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to receive assistance setting up for the class.

Continuing at the Centre

To notice fitness and health benefits, we recommend you get 150 minutes of moderate to intense physical activity per week and incorporate strength training exercise twice per week. Look to our professionals for ongoing advice and most of all have fun!
