- Health and Fitness Assessment – The health and fitness assessment provides you with a comprehensive look at your overall health status. The results of your assessment serve as the basis for developing your fitness program. Track your progress and document your achievements through an annual assessment. - InBody Analysis – Understanding your muscle and body fat analysis and measurements will get your fitness program off to a good start. With the InBody assessment, you will receive a thorough report and explanation of your results, including lean body mass, body fat mass, body weight, blood pressure, and basal metabolic rate. The InBody machine will suggest how much muscle and fat you should gain or lose to achieve your ideal body composition.
- Postural Analysis – Posture is the foundation to all movements. An ideal neutral pose is perfectly aligned and balanced. Age, poor posture, stress, and bad habits can cause you to lose this ideal alignment which may cause headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, headaches, and unnecessary stress. This one hour postural analysis includes analysis, education, and corrective exercises.
- Functional Movement Screen – The FMS is a graded system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. The FMS identifies functional limitations and asymmetries by taking you through a series of movements. Based on your results you will be provided with specific corrective exercises to restore your body’s natural balance.
Athletic Therapy includes the prevention, immediate care, and reconditioning of musculoskeletal injuries. Prevention includes musculoskeletal, gait and postural evaluation/education, equipment selection, fitting and repair, warm-up, conditioning programs, prophylactic or supportive taping and bracing, and adapting to the activity environment and facilities.

Meet Our Athletic Therapist
I am an athletic therapist who specializes in postural assessments, injury prevention/rehabilitation, movement mechanics and corrective exercise. I use a combination of hands-on treatment, therapist-assisted stretching, joint mobilization and exercise prescription to restore a pain-free range of motion. I have a strong passion for exercise and for educating my patients on correct movement patterns, muscle innervation and proper technique for all types of exercise. By using strengthening and mobility exercises you have the ability to correct muscle imbalances, change your movement mechanics, remove pain and restore your posture to its ideal alignment.
I pride myself on my ability to improve the lives of my clients by giving them the tools they need to improve. I can help you to continue to enjoy the things you love and keep you pain-free and functional. Fitness and health to me means being able to do anything you want in life – the ability to continue to enjoy whatever makes you happy without having to worry about any physical limitations getting in your way.
A foot care nurse can help reduce heavy calluses, corns, and trim deformed or thickened nails. The nurse also assess feet and lower limb for circulation, sensation, swelling, and assesses for the potential risk of ulcer development and falls. A large part of a nurse’s job involves client education and monthly to bimonthly follow up. Most extended health care insurance plans cover foot care.
After your workout, relax and cool down with our full-body HydroMassage bed. In as little as 10 minutes, you can receive a relaxing, rejuvenating massage that combines massage and heat therapies. Waves of heated water span the full length of your body while you remain fully clothed and dry throughout the relaxing experience. The massage loungers allow you to customize your massage so you can select the pressure and focus areas to maximize your healing experience. HydroMassage is only offered to Reh-Fit Centre members.
Booking Your Appointment – Members may book a maximum of one appointment per day. Appointments can be booked online through our website. No appointments will be booked at the Reception Desk. There is also one computer beside the HydroMassage loungers for booking appointments.

Meet our Massage Therapy Team
I bring a different style and element to my massage therapy treatments, which developed from the feeling that there was more than meets the eye when it comes to the body. I am currently a student at the Canadian College of Osteopathy (3rd Year) and apply these principles and concepts to my daily work. Osteopathy aims to find the source of the problem; it is a whole body approach which allows the body to restore to its natural state of harmony. Treatments will include elements of assessment, myofascial techniques, and Cranio-Sacral therapy, blended with the therapeutic benefits of massage.
Nichole Komosky, RMT
I am a graduate from Wellington College of remedial Massage Therapy. I am certified in advanced therapeutic massage, relaxation, soft tissue release, cranial-sacral massage, sports massage, and pregnancy massage.
I have also obtained training in breast massage which is beneficial for pre- and post-menopausal breast congestion, pre- and post-breast augmentation, and post-mastectomy.
I have extensive experience working with clients with multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, and spinal cord injuries, and I also work with those in geriatrics and palliative care.
Long term goals for myself include furthering my education and interests in manual lymphatic drainage, rib mobilization technique, and palliative care.
John Tran, B. Kin RMT
I am an RMT who graduated from the Massage College of Manitoba and as well hold a Bachelors of Kinesiology degree from the University of Manitoba. My knowledge of movement and the human body gives me a dynamic perspective to massage. My work primarily focuses on the fascial system of the body, but I am very capable of other forms of massage as well. I live an active lifestyle playing sports and training at the gym. I also have countless hours of experience working with various sports teams and elite athletes that has helped refine my skills in assessment, therapy, and rehab.
Suzanne Shelton, RMT, BPE
I graduated as an RMT in 2015 from Massage Therapy College of Manitoba. My training and knowledge of anatomy, the human body, and movement goes back many decades. In addition to numerous fitness, nutrition, and health certificates, I also have a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Manitoba. Over the years, I have taught yoga, Zumba, an array of fitness classes, as well as fitness testing and personal training.
My massage background includes private clinics, fitness/medical facility, and a popular local spa. Since graduation, I have continued learning and studying with one of the foremost teachers in myofascial massage and also have training in Thai Yoga massage and Trager.
Physiotherapy is used to restore and enhance functional ability and independence, improve strength, heal injuries and return to work, sport, recreation, or leisure pursuits. Physiotherapy also assists in the prevention of injury, disability, and the progression of chronic conditions.

Meet our Physiotherapists
Ever since graduating from the physiotherapy program at University of Manitoba in 2013, I have been continually expanding my knowledge base. Fascinated by the human body and forever eager to learn, I have completed several post-graduate physiotherapy courses along with undertaking studies in Yoga and Tai Chi.
Realizing that pain is a very complex issue and that not one size fits all, I take a holistic approach to musculoskeletal issues and tailor my treatment based on the patient’s needs. I am comfortable in dealing with acute and chronic pain ranging from arthritis to muscle strains, and I strongly believe in empowering the patient and giving them the tools to help succeed.
Practicing what I preach, I lead an active lifestyle incorporating activity into my life any opportunity I get whether that be cycling to work, running outdoors (even in the winter,) or playing badminton at the Reh-Fit. Managing stress in daily life goes a long way for both our physical and mental health and attending one of my Yoga classes is a great way to revitalize both body and mind.
Kelly Small, B.Kin, M.P.T, Acupuncture
I am incredibly passionate about the field of physiotherapy and exercise science and enjoy engaging in post-graduate courses to provide my patients with innovative treatment techniques. I have traveled across Canada to acquire certification within Dry Needling IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) and NeuroKinetic Therapy – treatment technique that assists in correcting faulty movement patterns. I am also employed as a preceptor and mentor resident general physicians in performing orthopedic examinations. I pride myself in my ability to provide one-on-one treatment sessions with my patients and believe in exercise-based rehabilitation. I have previously worked in health promotion with the provincial government and describe myself as a fitness enthusiast – you will probably see me working out at the Reh Fit Centre!
Jasmine Thorsteinson, B.Kin, M.P.T, Acupuncture
I graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Manitoba. I continued my education by obtaining my Level 1 Manual Therapy through the Orthopedic Division, and have taken several post-graduate courses including myofascial release and certification in acupuncture. My professional practice is focused in the area of orthopedics, and I continue to volunteer as a Clinical Instructor for Masters Students at the University of Manitoba.
As a competitive athlete, my passion for physiotherapy was established at a young age competing in hockey and soccer. I holistically believe in a custom-tailored client approach with an emphasis on exercise-based rehabilitation. In my spare time, I can be found on the ice or at the gym, biking, water skiing, and playing soccer, as well as spending quality time with my family at the lake. I look forward to working with you to reach your goals and exceed your own expectations.
